  • Adrian Tay

    Adrian is equipped with over 20 years of experience in auditing, accounting and corporate finance & governance for both private and public listed companies (PLCs) in Malaysia. His tenure with a government investment promotion agency advising global multinational companies (MNCs) accelerated his international experience in the sectors such of oil & gas, energy, engineering services, consumer products, technology and more.
     
    He started his career in an established international accounting firm and from there, he went on to the capital market industry gaining exposure in the PLCs’ regulatory environment. Prior to joining The Archipelago Group, he was a member of the advisory team that actively engages in foreign direct investments into Malaysia.

    Adrian is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting.


  • Farah Jaafar

    A seasoned market development professional, Farah has more than 25 years of experience in wholesale financial services, financial eco-system curation, business advisory, strategic communications, and branding.

    Formerly the CEO of Labuan IBFC Inc, the market development and marketing arm of Labuan Financial Services Authority, Farah’s experience in strategic business planning also allows her to curate bespoke solutions in respect to financial structuring, wholesale international finance and corporate structuring.

    Previously attached to the Asian Institute of Finance and Bursa Malaysia (Malaysia’s national stock exchange), she has had senior management in the B2B financial services industry. Farah began her career as an institutional equities and derivatives dealer, moving on to heading the official lobby group for stockbrokers, the Association of Stockbroking Companies Malaysia.

    Her professional experience allows provides unique insights in wholesale financial intermediation, strategic thinking, management of multiple high-level stakeholders, strategic communications, brand building and public relations.

    A fervent communicator and public speaker, Farah is passionate about equality, financial inclusion and win-win partnerships, as she strongly believes that “a rising tide lifts all boats”.

    Farah has an LLB (Hons) from Sheffield University, United Kingdom.
  • Dato' Howard Choo

    Dato’ Howard Choo is a financial services expert with over 35 years of experience in local and international banking. He is the former Executive Director of DBS Thai Danu Bank Thailand and MD, DBS Bank Singapore. Ex Vice-Chairman Singapore-Thai Chamber of Commerce and former Member of Executive Decision Panel, Bank of Thailand. He was an Adviser to University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in International Business. He was Adviser to Persatuan Usahawan Muda Malaysia (PUMM) and Former Council member of MCA SME Development Bureau. He has been active with BNM since the 1990s in human resource knowledge enhancement activities.

    An MBA (University of Wales and Manchester Business School) and a Fellow Member of Institute of Public Accountants, Australia (FIPA), Dato’ Howard Choo was also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS). He was also a trainer for South East Asia Central Bank Training Centre (SEACEN) and author of several books on Banking and Finance. He was a tutor for Wawasan Open University in International Financial Management and Corporate Finance. Currently, he assumes the role of Education Committee Member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), Implementation Task Force Member of Asian Banking School (ABS), Council member of the AICB and Chairman of the Board of Examiners. He is also the current Chairman of Labuan Investment Banks Group (LIBG). He is also a Fellow Chartered Banker and a professionally Certified AML/CFT person. He is also the examiner for Advance Corporate Finance for ICIA. He held the office of former President, Malaysia-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce.

  • Henry Chong

    Henry Chong is the Chief Executive Officer of FUSANG, the fully licensed and regulated digital financial ecosystem for security tokens and assets.

    Henry is a Member of the Fusang Exchange's Exchange Committee, and is the Chairman of its Listing Committee.

    Henry works closely with global institutional investors and financial regulators to bring professionalism and structure to the industry, and is a regular keynote speaker on the subject of digital assets. He is also a member of the University of Oxford’s Digital Assets Project at the Commercial Law Centre.

    Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics, and a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford. Henry holds a Masters of Science in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics & Political Science, where he wrote his thesis on the behaviour of family offices. He also holds a Diploma in Information Technology, that he completed at the age of 12, and a Certificate in Chinese Language & Literature from Peking University.

  • Gan Ming Chiek

    Prior to setting up GLT Law, Ming Chiek started his career as a Corporate M&A lawyer in Rahmat Lim & Partners (associated with Allen & Gledhill LLP Singapore), a tier one corporate transactions-focused law firm in Malaysia, and as a corporate & capital markets lawyer in Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh, during which he advised on many of the nation’s largest and most high-profile corporate transactions.

    Ming Chiek advises a wide range of corporate exercises including initial public offering (IPO), M&A, private fundraising, emerging technology and industries such as ECF, P2P, e-money, e-commerce, initial exchange offering (IEO), cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. His clients come from diverse industries such as property development, manufacturing, bereavement care, assets management, energy, healthcare, entertainment, technology, F&Bs and distributive trade industries. He holds LL.B (Hons) University of Malaya

  • Datuk Gavin Lim Chun Hoo

    Graduated from University of Northumbria, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom in Finance and Investment Management. Started career as a finance executive in a manufacturing company based in Indonesia & promoted to lead the business development prior he left the company.

    Joined Public Bank Berhad as a Senior Share Investment Executive for exposure in investment. Started information technology company, Kloudbits Sdn Bhd and remained as Director currently.

    Involved heavily in developing the blockchain payment sector by leading the development, compliance, marketing and business operation of a licensed entity by Labuan Financial Services Authority, Malaysia.
