    On 1 September 2013, Chulapong joined ZICOlaw (Thailand) Limited as Chairman and is also the Senior Advisor of the ZICOlaw network. Chulapong brings extensive knowledge to the firm as he has been in the private practice for 30 years, with major areas of practice including M&A, Projects, Insurance and International Arbitration.

    Chulapong was a Partner and Of Counsel in leading international law firms of Deacons in Thailand and Australia, Colin Ng & Partners in Singapore and Baker & McKenzie in Thailand. He later joined Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited in Bangkok as a Group General Counsel until July 2013.

    Chulapong was also a Founding and Managing Partner of DLA Piper’s Bangkok office, where it started with 2 lawyers in 2003 and 3 years later, they had successfully built up the office to have 25 lawyers.
    Chua Wei Min is Director of ZICO Trust Limited. She specialises in the areas of trusts and foundations and legal and regulatory compliance on activities carried out at Labuan IBFC.

    She is a consultant with the ZICOlaw network of ASEAN law firms and related services which regional hub is in Singapore and member firms and other associated service providers are in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh, Yangon, Vientiane, Melbourne and Sydney.

    She advises on Labuan trusts and foundations for both commercial and private use. This includes corporate trust advisory for restructuring purposes and the use of orphan trusts for sale and leaseback and asset securitisation transactions, and private trust and foundation set ups for family wealth and estate planning.

    Wei Min was one of the lead external consultants in the law reform exercise undertaken by the Labuan Financial Services Authority in 2007 to revamp the regulatory framework of Labuan IBFC which translated into 8 new and revised Labuan acts in February 2010. As a key member of the network’s Labuan legal practice, she advises extensively on the use of Labuan entities as a tax-efficient vehicle for asset holding, tax planning and private wealth management purposes. She also advises on regulatory compliance issues on financial activities in the Labuan IBFC as well as the establishment of private equity funds in Labuan.

    Wei Min speaks Mandarin fluently. She is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a committee member of STEP Malaysia.
    Anil has 15 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory engagements involving corporate income tax, personal tax, stamp duty, withholding tax and real property gains tax, for large Malaysian corporations, multinationals and individuals. 

    For the last 9 years he has been a member of EY Malaysia’s International Tax Services team and now leads the team. As part of his work in this team, he has been involved in numerous cross border advisory engagements (both inbound and outbound), particularly in relation to advising on the tax and regulatory issues facing companies investing in Malaysia and abroad, in areas such as the identification of appropriate holding structures, regulatory approvals, tax incentives, structuring of operations in a tax efficient manner, withholding tax mitigation and exit strategies. He has also advised on the tax implications of a number of restructuring exercises and divestments. During the course of his work, working with EY’s Global tax network, Anil has assisted clients from a tax perspective in respect of establishing operations and undertaking business in various jurisdictions, including the US, UK, Brazil, Austria, Australia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Mongolia and the Middle East.

    Anil has worked on tax due diligence and tax structuring exercises for proposed acquisitions, advising on issues such as tax risks, holding structures and funding structures.

    Anil has spoken at EY’s tax conferences / seminars and client events in Malaysia and abroad. He has also spoken at various industry events and regularly conducts training sessions for clients and colleagues.
